Jesse Reeves was the son of George Reeves and Jane Burton of Grayson County, Virginia. According to the DAR, Jesse was born 1760 in VA. Jesse married twice. His first wife was Nancy, some believe her last name was Terrill. According to Jesse's Last Will, his children with Nancy were John, Eli, Elizabeth (Cox) and Jane (Baker). His second wife was Mary Bowers. Their children were Jesse B., Alexander and Charles. His Last Will is found in Ashe County, North Carolina Will Book A, pages 3-4.
