Obituary:

Virgie Mae Himioben, daughter of the late Jesse Orville and Hazel (Sherrell) Bushong, was born on January 25, 1933 in Ozark County, Missouri and passed away on August 29, 2013 at her brother, Melvin Bushong's residence in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 80 years, 7 months and 4 days of age.

Virgie grew up on a farm near the Bryant River in Ozark County and attended the Bell School. She was united in marriage to Paul Himioben in 1977. Mr. Himioben passed away in November of 2011.

Virgie was employed at a restaurant for several years, which she enjoyed very much. She loved being outdoors, especially when tending to her flower gardens and bird watching.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and she also loved her cat very much.

At the time of her passing, Virgie was a longtime member of the Poulan Baptist Church in Georgia.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter: Patricia Mae Wright; her step-mother: Hazel Mae (Pool) Bushong; four brothers: Jesse Bushong, Willard Bushong, Bently Bushong, and Marvin Bushong; and by four sisters: Bernice Walker, Leatha Kirkpatrick, Raydene Dennis, and Martha Joe Bushong.

She is survived by one brother: Melvin Bushong of Mtn. Grove; three sisters: Betty Souder and husband, Bill, and Mayme Lambdin and her husband, Jim, of Rogersville, Missouri, and Dorothy Curtis and her husband, Lonnie, of Drury, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
