Mrs. Jewell died Sunday at her residence.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Jewell Webb and her husband, Joe, of Anniston; two sisters, Bobbie Champion and Mildred Word, both of Anniston; a brother, Roy Houston, of Saks; four grandchildren, Chris Webb, Jarad Webb, Joseph Webb and Amy Webb.
Pallbearers were Roland Houston, Gary Milner, Jarad Webb, Chris Webb, John W. Jewell, and Matt Douglas.
Mrs. Jewell loved small children and kept many of them in her home while their parents worked.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Jewell; her parents, Ira and Lillie Mae Houston and a brother, Lynwood Houston.
