Christopher S. Bauer, age 31, of Council Bluffs, passed away May 13, 2007, at his home after a two year battle with cancer. Chris was born August 4, 1975, in Council Bluffs, to Earl and Dianne (Franks) Bauer, Jr. He worked at Jonesy's Taco House for many years before going to Nelson Construction where he worked until becoming ill.
Chris loved to hunt and play pool. He also enjoyed throwing horseshoes and riding his motorcycle. Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alfred A. Franks in 2001.
He is survived by his parents, Earl and Dianne Bauer; his three brothers, Shawn, Joshua and Michael; grandmother, Darlene Franks, all of Council Bluffs; grandparents, Earl and Josephine Bauer, Sr., of Avoca, Iowa; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Visitation with the family, Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Service, Thursday, 11:00 a.m.at the mortuary. Interment Garner Township Cemetery with a luncheon following at the American Legion Club The family directed memorials.
