Housley, Clyde Edgar of Friendsville, Tennessee after 82 years on Earth, joined loved ones in Heaven on Thursday, August 16, 2001. Clyde was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Maryville. He was retired from Harrison Construction Company. Clyde was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sally Housley; brothers, Lonnie Housley, Ulyses Housley, John Housley and Joe Housley; and sisters, Minnie Belle Housley and Mossie Ford. Clyde leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Morton Housley; sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Jane Housley of Lenoir City, Joey and Donna Housley of Friendsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Gary (Buzz) Stinnett, Jan and Charles Davis, Tami and Steve Henry all of Friendsville, and Angie and Brad Chambers of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Jack Housley, Jr., Bill Housley, Wesley Housley, Darren Housley, Anita Green, Lori McFalls, Robby Stinnett, Chastity Wilson, Lisa Carter, Brandi Hill, Candice Walker, Jason Davis, Michael Davis, and Chucky Davis; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Della Mae Phillips of Maryville, Rosetta Coppock of Friendsville and Myrtle Brogan of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; and many many dearly loved friends. The family will receive friends from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City followed by funeral services at 3p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Jack Housley will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Unitia cemetery with full military honors conferred by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Clydes grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City is serving the family of Clyde Housley.
