Paul D. Chambers, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, KS, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his home at the age of 66.
Paul was born the son of Paul F. and Crystal Chambers on August 23, 1947 in Waxahachie, TX. Paul married his beloved high school sweetheart Donna on June 29, 1968 and together they shared 40 years of marriage. He served his country with pride in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Paul loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, who he adored very much. He also had a big heart for animals.
Survivors include his parents; daughter, Karen Kitchen and her husband Curtis; son, Charles Chambers and his wife Laura of Liberty, MO; three brothers, Garald, Gerald and Eddie Chambers; sister, Crystal Bingham; three grandchildren, Charlea Kitchen and Abigail and Sidney Chambers.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Donna.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6-8:00 PM at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 31 at the Antioch Church, 5201 Antioch Rd, Overland Park, KS 66202. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Shawnee, KS.
Memorial contributions can be made to Continua Hospice Care and/or The Humane Society of Greater KC.
