Doug Lane, 63, of Micro died on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born September 8, 1949 to the late Joe and Beulah Mae Lane, he was the owner of D.W. Lane Electrical Contractor until he retired.Funeral services were held Sunday, August 11, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Elder Harold Pittman and Rev. Laura Jernigan officiating. Burial followed in the Micro Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife Janey Lane; son, Hunter Lane of Micro, daughter, Joy Jones and husband Mike of Goldsboro and grandchildren Caleb and Makayla Jones; brother, Greg Lane of Micro and his faithful companion, Keno.
