Evelyn Albaugh, 89, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2012, at New Hope Lutheran Chuch in Newfolden, MN with Pastor Ollie Urdahl officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem New Solum Cemetery, rural Newfolden, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service and also one hour prior to the service at the church on
Saturday.

Evelyn Theresa Bartlette was born on January 25, 1923 in Neche, ND, the daughter of Israel and Florence (Houle) Bartlette. She attended country school near Neche. Following school, Evelyn worked, helping with all of her family's house work.

Evelyn was united in marriage on January 1, 1939 Lynn Jacob Albaugh. The couple made their home in Neche, ND, Radium ,MN, and Germantown, MN for a few years before moving to Newfolden in 1952. She currently resided at the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls.

Evelyn was a stay at home mom while her children were growing up. She also worked in the potato fields near Argyle and for Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls. Evelyn regularly attended New Hope Lutheran church in Newfolden, MN.

Evelyn had the great gift hospitality, enjoying cooking and baking – especially homemade bread, buns and cinnamon rolls for all her guests. She was a proud member of the "Country Gals." Playing many different instruments and singing, she and the other members enjoyed playing country music in and around the area. Evelyn always had a large garden, which kept her and her children very busy tending to all the produce. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and for the love she had for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Paul) Ernster of Circle Pines, MN, Norma Riedemann of Chillicothe, MO, Richard (Brenda) Albaugh of Warren, MN, Thomas (Janice) Albaugh of Ada, MN, Evelyn (Arvid) Halvorson of Thief River Falls, MN, and Debra (Heiko) Kampf of Boaz, AL; grandchildren, Raymond (Tracy) Ernster, Robert (Carol) Ernster, Renae (Tim) Ernster, Denise (Jeff) Sheldon, Sherry (Mark) Walsh, Randy Riedemann, Dan (Sandy) Riedemann, Scott (Amy) Albaugh, Shawn Albaugh, Staci (Jeff) Jenson, Nicole Albaugh, Rita Bentley, Matthew Albaugh, Benjamin Albaugh, Lisa (Paul) Sveiven, Aaron (Alissa) Halvorson, April Albaugh, Andrea Albaugh, Alaina Albaugh, Chad (Misty) Corneliusen, Charmaine Slaughter, 28 great-grandchildren; 7 Great Great -grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn; children, Gerald and Ramona; son-in-law, Dale Riedemann; grandchildren, Drew Albaugh and Allyce Albaugh; grandson-in-law, Jeremy Slaughter.
