M. Jane Doolittle Franks, age 80, of 71 Sherbrook Rd. died unexpectedly Monday morning March 12, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield. Mrs. Franks was born September 8, 1920 in Mansfield, being a life long resident. She was a retired bookkeeper from the Leland Hotel and various other firms. Mrs. Franks was a member of the Linden Road Presbyterian Church where she served on the Deacon Board. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was very involved with her family.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry W. and Kathleen Franks of Huntington, West Virginia; and Terry E. and Ann Franks of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Adam M. and his spouse, Emily Franks; and Kevin M. Franks all of Huntington, West Virginia; Matthew R., Jonathan T. and Krissy M. Franks of Mansfield; two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Colin Franks of Huntington, West Virginia; and one brother and sister-in-law, F. William and Lenore Doolittle of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was preceded by her parents, Lucius O. and Helen Stover Doolittle; her husband, Lawrence E. ''Larry'' Franks, on February 25, 2001; and one sister, Elenor Doolittle Nixon.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday March 18, 2001 from 3-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday March 19, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Lewis VanderNaald. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Linden Road Presbyterian Church.
