Mr. Douglas Ray "Razor" Barton, age 58, of Gloverville, S.C., son of Kathleen Sizemore Barton and the late Kendrell W. Barton, entered into rest on Thursday, September 2, 2011.
He is survived by a daughter, Amy Leigh (Shanon) Boothe of Aiken, S. C.; sons, Brian Barton of North Augusta, S.C. and Richard "Richie" (Karen) Barton of Edgefield, S.C.; sisters, Patricia (James) Cross of Augusta, Ga. and Iva (Em-mett) Sheppard of Aiken, S.C.; brothers, Harry (Dale) Barton of Gloverville, S.C., Donald (Vonnice) Barton of Burnettown, S.C. and Tommy (Linda) Barton of Graniteville, S.C.; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of Gloverville Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Local 1756 Union Painters.
He was a proud US Army Veteran.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle; and the son stated that he would always be the sun over his shoulder. Needless to say, he shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during his lifetime.
A graveside service will be held at the Langley Cemetery, Langley, S.C. with Rev. Jack Scott officiating.
