WILLIAM "BILL" J. DALKE
August 8, 1937 ~ August 27, 2013

William J. "Bill" Dalke was born on August 8, 1937 in Glendive, Montana and passed away at Amboy, Washington on August 27, 2013, after a ten month battle with stomach cancer.

Bill worked with chain saws and lawn and garden equipment for over fifty years, as a mechanic, retail and wholesale sales and repair and as a distributor and manufacturers representative. He represented all of the Western United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Canada, traveling through the small towns and big cities sometimes with engineers from all over the world.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Kay; and his six children and their spouses: sons, Theodore Dalke and Andrew and Rita Dalke, of Amboy, Washington, and daughters, Kristina and Ward Homola of Battle Ground, Washington, Bonnie and Lonnie Stewart of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Katherine and Jeffrey Homola of Palmer, Alaska, and Anne and Randy Redinger of Willow Lake South Dakota; and his two nephews who called him Dad: David and Juanita Reddig of Brush Prairie, Washington and Billy and Lynne Reddig of Kalispell, Montana. Surviving also are his 32 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren who called him their "SweetiePie Grampa." Also surviving Bill are his three brothers: Gottlieb Dalke, Donald Dalke, and Henry Dalke all of Billings, Montana; and his four sisters: Lydia Rinas of Williston, Florida, Mary Skalsky and Eva Barnard of Billings, Montana and Amelia Hetland of Red Lodge, Montana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gottlieb and Emily Dalke; one brother, Adolph Dalke; and two sisters, Rosalie Satern and Katherine Dalke.

Bill was a member of the Old Apostolic Church for over 55 years and wants to be remembered as a striving Christian in his faith.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Old Apostolic Church of Woodland, Washington at 1500 Dike Access Road, Woodland, Washington 98674, with a viewing at the church on Friday, August 30, 2013. Internment was at Elim Lutheran Cemetery in Brush Prairie, Washington.
