Janet Elaine Ackerman, 56, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her home. She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on February 4, 1957, the daughter of Leeds C. and Marion (Tyler) Ackerman. She graduated from Woodsville High School, class of 1975. Janet worked for 20 years as a nursing assistant at the Glencliff Home, Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH, and Lafayette Center in Franconia, NH. Janet loved cats, attending yard sales, and being at the ocean. She was predeceased by her mother, Marion Ackerman on September 23, 1989; and a brother, Dean L. Ackerman of August 14, 1999. Survivors include her father, Leeds Ackerman of White River, VT; a sister, Julie Ackerman Downing and husband John of Enfield, NH; and two nephews, Dan Ackerman and Josh Ackerman both of Newbury, VT.
