Josephus Havenith was a music instructor in Munich, Germany. He was originally from the Netherlands.

He joined Scientology and lived at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, Florida owned by the Church of Scientology for two months prior to his death.

He was found in Room 771 deceased in the bathtub.

Per a report of the incident in the St. Petersburg Times, "His body was cremated and shipped home to the Netherlands at the expense of the Church of Scientology. Family members could not be located."
