Grady Dean Barnett, 86, of Elkmont, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at ECM Hospital. Mr. Barnett was born March 3, 1927, in Limestone County to Roy Barnett and Bertha Lewis Barnett.

Services for Mr. Barnett are today at 1 p.m., Aug. 27, 2013, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation was Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Legg Cemetery with Scott Pepper officiating.

He was a lifelong member of Leggtown Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing music and dancing. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his children, Billy Barnett, Linda Scott, Carl Barnett and Royce Barnett; brothers, Cordell Barnett, Richard Barnett and Horace Barnett; sisters, Doris Moore and Rebecca Emerson; grandchildren, Ginger McMeans, Tracie Runions, Benjamin Barnett, Brian Patrick, Patricia Fenton and Sandra Cezeski; great-grandchildren, Will McMeans, Shelbie Runions, Avery Barnett, Grayson Barnett, Eli McMeans and Aiden Dobbs; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lee Barnett; son, James Barnett.

Pallbearers are Brian Patrick, Benjamin Barnett, Sam McMeans, Chris Runions, Will McMeans and Doyle Graves. Honorary pallbearers are Shelbie Runions, Avery Barnett, Grayson Barnett, Eli McMeans and Aiden Dobbs.
