He was a CPA and a member of the Bille Isle Community Church in Oklahoma City.
A resident of Oklahoma City he died at the age of 45, June 1, 1999 in Oklahoma City.
Survivors were his wife, Donna; sons, Matthew Spurrier and Adam Spurrier; his parents; brothers, Steve Spurrier and Terry Spurrier.
Funeral services were June 4, 1999 at Belle Isle Community Church.
