Kenny was a Christian and made Shrewsbury Baptist Church his home Church. He was retired from Cabot Gas Co. with over 30 years of service. Kenny was a US Army veteran.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Rondie and Areta Skidmore Hoover.
Kenny is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Janie Gibson Hoover at home; sisters, Betty Stewart of Hurricane, Brenda Parrish of Charleston, and Shirley Dorsey of Elkridge; 29 nieces and nephews; 27 great-nieces and nephews; one great-nephew/grandson; and a host of other family and friends.
Services will be Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Shrewsbury Baptist Church, Shrewsbury with the Rev. Gail Raynes officiating. Entombment will follow the services in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
Friends may call Friday, Aug. 26, at the Shrewsbury Baptist Church, Shrewsbury from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
