The siblings: Norman, the eldest, and then twin brothers Seth and Stan, Floyd, Hazel, Walter, and Gladys all born in their farmhouse. Sister Gladys was born/raised after father Robert died 1904 of peritonitis after his ills continued for several weeks.
The family farmhouse burned down while Hazel and Walter were just toddlers; Father Robert met his fate early in life but her mother raised Bessie who was 12 years at the time and the children with great dignity as a single parent. Bessie's mother raised her children without a "complaint" according to her neighbors notes read/noted by her great niece Colleen Lowry.
Bessie married Marshall Honeysett in April 1917 with them moving eventually to California where he was in real estate. They had no children but were blessed with two nieces Marj & Norma Lowry and and two nephews Stanley and Bob Lowry.
Their home on Kauffman Ave. was visited at Christmases by her nephew Stanley Lowry and family. The family fondly knew "Aunt Bess" for her great love of parakeets that she cared for in her home.
The fruit trees in her backyard were well groomed and produced abundant "lemon"ade. She loved holidays that nephew Stan spent together, sharing her famous fudge which became a Lowry/Keen family favorite/tradition.
She was placed at Rose Hill Memorial Park and rests with her husband eternally.
