Kyle Lee, born in Portland, Oregon, May 16, 1995, passed away in a car crash August 23, 2013. He was 18. As a child Kyle, was rambunctious, precocious, and loved anything to do with learning.
The family returned to the Treasure Valley when Kyle was 12years old. He began attending Vallivue schools in 8th grade at Sage Valley Middle School where he was on the cross country and track teams and helped in the kitchen at lunchtime.
He began his involvement in Boy Scouts at age 8 and enjoyed troop meetings and hiking and camping with his fellow scouts. For Kyle's Eagle Scout project he spearheaded the completion of cataloging the fiction collection of Nampa's Parkview High School library with volunteer teens and adults. The group cataloged over 800 books in two days during Christmas break 2012.
Kyle was a 2013 graduate of Vallivue High School where he was a member of The Choral Edition, Vallivue High School's premier Choir, and a member of Advanced Men's choir. He was #17, Goalie, for Falcon Lacrosse for four years. Kyle was one of the founding members of the Vallivue High School Robotics team 2012-2013, and also worked in the lunchroom.
Kyle's favorite band was RUSH. He enjoyed reading SciFi, fantasy, thrillers, and horror fiction, and playing video games with friends.
At the time of his death Kyle was working with his uncle Darren at Parma Company in the parts warehouse to earn money for his church mission. His future plans included attending Idaho State University for nuclear engineering following his mission.
As the eldest grandchild in the Wrigley and Lee families, Kyle was loved and appreciated for his warmth and willingness to help others and look after his siblings and cousins. He and his grandfather were featured in the local newspaper the year that both celebrated their 16th birthdays.
He is survived by his parents, Joe and Andrea (Wrigley) Lee, siblings: Brittany, Joshua, and Jennifer; His grandparents, Don and Irene Lee, of Burley, and Keith and Nina Wrigley of Middleton.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, August 28 at the Linden Street building of the LDS church with a viewing preceding. There will also be a viewing at the Linden Street building Tuesday evening from 5-7. Arrangements are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Home in Caldwell.
