Dorothy J. Scimeca, 79, of Bull Valley, died Friday, May 1, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born May 20, 1929, in Chicago, to Fred and Emily (Dart) Wennerstrom.
On June 20, 1948, she married Vincent Scimeca in Chicago.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent Scimeca of Bull Valley; her children, Michael (Linda) Scimeca, Debra (Richard) Streyckmans, Timothy (Karen) Scimeca and Pamela (William) Vannerson; her 11 grandchildren, Jody (Joe), Cory (Matt), Kelly, Christy, Tracy (Jeremy), Jason (Kelli), Jake, Katie, Joey (Jen), Tommy and Aubrey; a great-grandson on the way, Timothy; her sister, Jeanette Scott; and her brother-in-law, William Berry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dola, Florence and Shirley; and a brother, Bud.
The visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral Mass is celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, May 4, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
