Mrs. Blofield is Taken by Death -
Anna Jane Lettia Blofield, 86, mother of Mrs. Dean Hatten and a former resident of the Fullerton community, passed away at eight o'clock last night at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hatten, 502 West Charles street.

She had made her home with her daughter and son-in-law for the past several years.

Taken ill last Christmas Day, she was bedfast for three months. She had been bedfast for two months immediately preceding her death.

Anna Jane Lettia Barker was born June 12, 1853 in Yoxford, Suffolk, England. She received her education at Peasenhall and Twickenham and in London private schools.

In 1883 she came to America and made her home with her brother, Dan Barker, in Nance county until her marriage June 29, 1886 to John Chandler Blofield. Five children were born to them, three of whom died in infancy. Her husband passed away in March, 1933.

She was a charter member of the W.C.T.U. and Delphian chapter at Fullerton, and was active in organizing the library at Fullerton. Mrs. Blofield was a member of the Episcopal church and was one of the pioneer women in the mission parishes at Glenwood and at Fullerton in the Omaha diocese of the Episcopal church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Hatten of this city and Mrs. A. T. Hess, Charles City, Ia., her brother, Dan Barker, Meridian, Ida., a half-sister, Ethel Barker, London, England and four grandchildren.

The body is at the Sowl and Grosshans mortuary from which place services will be conducted by Rev. E. C. Rorke. Time of service has not yet been determined. Burial will be in the Glenwood cemetery near Fullerton.
