Lorraine Banner, mother of Hunt County District Judge Paul Banner, died Saturday afternoon at Citizens General Hospital. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Banner was born May 26, 1907, in the Blackland Community in Rockwall County to A.R. and Alma McDonald Bost. She was married to B.B. Banner on Nov. 4, 1925. Mrs. Banner was a member of Knights of Pythias Sisters, United Methodist Women, the Sarah Bible Club and Kavanaugh United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; Judge Banner; daughter, Rev. Louise Banner Welch of Campbell; sisters Mary Leigh of McKinney, Aline Shievers of Smithville, and Helen Dwight and Jacqueline Tubb of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, B.B. Banner Jr. in 1982 and daughter Alma Jean Peek in 1979.

Pallbearers will be John Banner, Gregory Banner, Clyde Dykes, John Goodloe, Danen Banner, Lee Greer, Keith Bearden, B.R. Adams, Scott Dykes and Robert Grubbs.
