C.V. passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Hartshorne, OK. He attended school in Union Chapel and Pittsburg, OK. C.V. was a sheet metal worker. He married Martha Walker in 1976 in McAlester, OK. C.V. was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed gardening, taking walks, and just being outdoors. He especially enjoyed squirrel hunting and crappie fishing. C.V. is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Patterson of Grand Praire, TX., Pauline Ellison and husband Bill of Pittsburg, OK., Vera Wood of Eastland, TX., Tressie McCormick of Moutain View, MO.; along with 14 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. C.V. was preceded in death by his parents, James Covington and Vernie Dyer; wife, Martha Dyer, sister, Evelyn Wilson; brothers-in-law, Vernon Myers, Olen "Junior" Patterson, Robert McCormick, Woodrow Wilson, and Dan Woods;nephews, J.C. Myers, Gary Wilson, and Teddy Myers; and niece Patsy Patterson.
