Marcia Jean White, of Evart, Michigan, passed away Tuesday August 27, 2013 at Spectrum Health-Reed City, Michigan. She was 71 years old.

Marcia was born April 3, 1942 in Muskegon, Michigan, to Walter D. and Doris M. (Comstock) Claeys. She had lived in Hart and Muskegon and the last 55 years she had resided in Evart. She was a 1960 graduate of Evart High School. Marcia married George D. White in Reed City on May 20, 1961.

She worked at Evart Products and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Evart. Mrs. White enjoyed traveling and camping and loved spending time with her family. Marcia is survived by her husband, George D. White of Evart; two daughters, Melinda (Douglas) Sengelaub of Hersey, and Heather (Martin) Szymczak of Chandler, AZ; a son, Geoffrey (Lea Rae Johnson) White of Evart; eight grandchildren, Jacob & Beth Sengelaub of Traverse City, Derek & Hannah Sengelaub of Reed City, Kyle Sengelaub of Traverse City, Michael, Mariah, and Sean White of Reed City, Paige and Tatlana Szymczak of Chandler, AZ; one great grandchild, Jude Sengelaub of Reed City; one brother, Arthur (Marcia) Claeys of Muskegon; and two sisters-in-law, Berneda (Dick) Witbeck of Evart, and Berneyce (Al) Rathburn of Sears.

A memorial service for Marcia Jean White will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Evart with a luncheon following. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart.
