Samantha "Sam" Chipley, 19, of Wilmore, died Tuesday, June 28.
Born in Lexington, she was the daughter of Jeff and Marcia Chipley and Roberta Kitty Chipley and Bobby Fain.
Chipley graduated from West Jessamine High School in 2003. She played softball in high school and enjoyed sports, especially swimming. She also enjoyed music and watching movies. She attended Mount Freedom Baptist Church in Wilmore.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Hunter Fain and Tyler Wharton; her paternal grandparents, Sue Chipley and Carl and Georgia Chipley; her maternal grandparents, Harrold and Lilly Daniels; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends, including a very special friend, Channing Able.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Main Street in Lexington by Pastor Bobby Lakes.
Burial will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
