Carmi — Loretta Gail Newcomb, age 66 of Carmi, died Sunday morning August 25, 2013 at her home. She was born December 9, 1946 in Carmi, the daughter of Alfred "Doc" Page and Fannie Loretta Phillips. She married Robert Newcomb on July 3, 1964 in Carmi and he preceded her in death in 2003.
She is survived by her mother, Fannie Loretta Phillips Page, her children, Pamela and David Drape of Portland, Ore., Penney Sullivan of Carmi, Sherril Mobley of Llano, Texas, Samantha and Daniel Chamness of Rantoul and Bobbie Moore of Carmi; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley Page of Llano, Texas; and two sisters, Patricia Christmas and Linda Page, both of Carmi.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; father, Alfred "Doc" Page, granddaughter, Kirstan Nicole and grandson, Richard Lee Travelstead, Jr., and three brothers, Stanton, Tom and Melvin Page.
