DeVere F. (Hugg) Jones-McClure, 85, of Elkhart, IN passed away on August 26, 2013 at Hubbard Hill Estates. She was born July 4, 1928 in Elkhart, IN, the daughter of the late Wayne and Frances (Beven) Hugg. DeVere's earlier marriages to Richard J. Stoddard and Richard J. Sigsbee both ended in divorce; then she married Ernest C. Jones and he died in January of 1997, and lastly she was married to Clair R. McClure and he died in December of 2000. A son, Michael J. Stoddard Sigsbee preceded her in death in 1967 while serving in the Vietnam War.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Beth (Don) Huss of Elkhart, IN, Sandra Woods of Elkhart, IN, and Brenda (Garry) Lail-Harrington of Elkhart, IN; a sister, Mary Louise Sigsbee of Elkhart, IN; and two nephews. DeVere retired from C. G. Conn in 1991 and also worked at W.T. Armstrong and E.R. Carpenter, as a Security Guard. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Elkhart, the AARP, City Roamers Club, Friendly Pioneers, and the Osceola American Legion Post #308 Ladies Auxiliary.

No services are planned for DeVere. Burial will be at a later date in Rice Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.
