Stephanie Kathleen Slay Russell, age 63 and a resident of Ocean Springs passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 in Oxford.

She was preceded in death by her father, George D. Slay; her brother, George D. Slay, Jr., and her sister, Leslie Slay.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Truett Russell; her mother, Rosemary Ellis Slay; her children, Brandon Christopher Russell and Kimberly Nicole Russell; and her granddaughter, Layla Rose Barnes.

Stephanie was a court reporter for the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission and she was a professional model. She was a member of the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, and was active with the March of Dimes and D.A.R.E. program. She loved to read and watch old movies and was considered a gourmet cook.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport with a visitation from 1:00 until 1:30 p.m. for family and friends at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport.
