Michelle Kristine Reed, 41, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church of Christ and Danny Mize, pastor of Hospice Care of the Southwest, officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
Michelle was born Jan. 14, 1972, to Ed and Cindy Reed in Pampa. Michelle graduated from Amarillo High and was a member of Hillside Christian Church.
Michelle had a love for children and was especially fond of children who were sick or disabled. She would sit with children at Tucson Children's Medical Center and talk to them while they waited for the appointments. She sponsored several children in World Vision.
Michelle also had a love of animals, especially her dog Addie. She also was a volunteer with Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Survivors include her parents, Ed and Cindy Reed of Amarillo; a sister, Lori Hagler and husband David of Amarillo; a brother, Michael and wife Tess of Houston: her fiance, Kevin Collingsworth of Pampa; five nieces, Brittni, Madasyn, Maylian, Abrey and Shyah; a nephew, Brigden; and a great-niece, Teagan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to High Plains Children's Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
