A Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 at St. Ann's Church, 7231 Mission Rd., Prairie Village, Kansas, with Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at St. Ann's.
Private Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
Jerome was born in Greenleaf, Kansas, on February 10, 1933. He attended Blessed Sacrament, Rockhurst High School (1951) and Rockhurst College (1955).
In 1959, he established Jerome's Carpet and Furniture Cleaning, retiring in 2011.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Anna (O'Leary) Peterson, siblings Kenneth, and Mary Ann Foster
He is survived by his spouse Wanda J. (Klepac) Peterson, children Bridget (Jim) Weinstein, Kathleen Bono, Eileen Peterson, Tom Peterson, Maggi (John) Pivovar, Aimee (Brian) Adams.
He was the loving grandfather of Robert, Samuel and William Weinstein, Kristina, Sarah and Nicholas Bono, Hannah and Thomas Peterson, John Mitchell, Blase, Benjamin and Grant Pivovar, Henry and Laurel Adams, his sister Marguerite Peterson and brothers Daniel (Judy) Peterson, and Michael (Peggy) Peterson.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Maggi's Foundation (for meningitis) c/o Walsh Washburn, 5360 College Blvd. #100, Overland Park, Kansas 66211.
