John E. Ashcraft, Jr. , 65, of Greenwood passed away Dec.1, 2010 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Greenwood, MS. Services were held at First Presbyterian Church on Dec.4, 2010 with arrangements by Wilson & Knight. Burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Dr. Rusty Douglas officiating.

Mr. Ashcraft was a graduate of Greenwood High School, the University of Mississippi, the University of Mississippi School of Law and also N.W. University Graduate Trust School. He served 24 yrs as vice-president and trust officer of Trustmark Bank in Greenville. He served as an agent and was a registered representative of New York Life Insurance Company and continued in estate planning and investment planning. He was interested in photography, known for his pictures of eagles and their nesting places. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, MS. Mr. Ashcraft was preceded in death by his father, John E. Ashcraft, Sr. He is survived by his mother Nell Davidson Ashcraft of Greenwood and a close cousin Alex Alston of Jackson, MS and his caregiver and special friend Bobby Jean Grant of Greenwood, MS.
