Gleason, was born July 10, 1906,
at Sioux Rapids. He died at his
home in Newell Feb. 13, 1972, at
the age of 65 years following a
lengthy illness.
After his marriage to Laura
Doxsee of Newell on Aug. 14, 1950,
he made Newell his home
thereafter.
Most of his working life was
spent in the automotive repair
business as a mechanic. Approximately
16 years of this was
with the Buick-Chevrolet garage
at Storm Lake. In 1960 he started
a small auto repair business of
his own in Newell which he
operated until ill health forced
him to dissolve this business.
He became a member of the
Church of Christ in Storm Lake in
April, 1945.
Survivors include his wife,
Laura, a son Bruce and daughterin-law,
Gladys, of Santa Maria,
Calif., grandsons, Randall,
David and Brent of Santa Maria;
a brother Edward of Waterloo, a
sister, Mrs. Cora Mitchell of
Seattle, Wash., several nieces
and nephews and other relatives
and friends.
