She was the daughter of the late Alonzo F. and Lucy (Johnson) Stringer. Born in Tremont on August 23, 1885, she attended the Wareham schools and has made Wareham her home all her life. She was a member of the Pastor's Aid Society and the Missionary Society of the First Congregational church of Wareham.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mes. Hazel Melloni and Mrs. Beatrice McWilliams; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Cahoon; and a brother, Ralph Stringer.
