Apolonia is Polish for Pauline. Apolonia was called 'Ciotka Polka' by everyone which is Polish for young Aunt.

Apolonia's siblings: Katarzyna Dubel, John and Peter.

Apolonia married Jan in Poland.

Apolonia, her husband, John and their 3 month old son, Wally came to America from Poland to visit relatives. But Wally's records indicate he was born in New York USA. Their daughter, Vicky was born in Buffalo, New York USA. Apolonia and her husband owned a large farm in Poland. They were going to return to Poland after their visit with the family. Apolonia's husband got sick and died of pneumonia while they were visiting in America. Apolonia did not have enough money to purchase two graves. Only one grave was purchased to bury her husband, John.

Apolonia's husband is buried in the older St. Stanislaus Cemetery across the street from the office.

Apolonia is buried in the newer St. Stanislaus Cemetery in the plot next to her sister, Catherine and brother-in-law, George Dubel.
