Funeral services for Mr. Lou Allen Griffin, 54, of Jennings, LA will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, August 25, at Conway Church of Christ with Bros. Jamie Orten & Charles Frisbee officiating. Burial will be in Conway Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr. Griffin, an offshore cook, died Thursday, August 22, 2013. He was a member of Conway Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing, swimming, playing dominoes and spending time with his granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his daddy, J.M. Griffin; grandmother, Mattie Lou Griffin and 1 sister, Cindy Beaird.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Dollar & step-father, Bill Dollar; 1 son: Erik Griffin of Jennings; 1 daughter, Heather Griffin of Jennings; former wife: Sheryl Griffin; 2 brothers: Jesse Griffin & wife, Kathy of MS and Jason Griffin & wife, Stephanie of Conway; 1 sister: Lori Mitchell & husband, Dewayne of Conway; 2 grandchildren: Hannah Elizabeth Griffin & Mattie Lou Rodriguez; uncle: Kenny Griffin, and numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday at Conway Church of Christ beginning at 5:00pm.
Pallbearers are Russell Crews, Cliff Crews, Cole Griffin, Kerry Beaird, Shane Alford and Mike Dean. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Dollar, Jason Griffin, Jesse Griffin and Dewayne Mitchell
