Ashley, 80, was born in Lithia, Florida to James and Laura Emily Hunter Davis. He was a successful business owner of First Coast Landscape & Nursery in Argyle for many years. He served proudly in the Air Force for over 20 years with the distinction of being assigned to the Joint Chiefs of Staff National Emergency Airborne Command Post and served on Air Force One during the Johnson & Nixon Administrations. Even though his military service was the high point of his life and career, his heart was always with his family.

He is survived by his daughters Lisa Davis Bulger (Gary); Pamela Davis Ritch (Richard); Son, Michael L. Davis (Kimberly); the Mother of his children, Carol Jean Rowell; Sister, Geneva Davis Smith (Al); Brothers Donald Davis (Polly), Virgil Davis (Jo), Carl Davis (Grace), C.W. Davis (Miriam)

Grandchildren, Kristin Kirkland, Bryan Kirkland, Brandon Hughes, Amber Graves, Leah Graves, Mikayla Davis, Jason Davis and 5 Great-Grandchildren, Kaylee, Logan, Grayson, Addysen & Lachlan.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday, August 25, 2013 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, Fl. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at Mary, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 9401 Staples Mill Dr.,Jacksonville, FL Father Denis O'Shaughnessy will officiate.
