She was born in Portland, a daughter of Frank and Lilla M. Dunham Sholes, and graduated from Portland High School. She was formerly of Forest Lake Shores in Gray.
Mrs. Bush worked as the head waitress at Lano's Restaurant in South Portland for many years. She also waitressed at the Pine State Diner.
She was a member of the Daughter's of the Nile, Order of the Eastern Star and the Gray Senior Citizens Association, and was past president of the Forest Lake Association. She volunteered for the Gray Meals on Wheels program.
Her husband, C. ''Pete'' Bush, died in 1980.
