Antonin Aksamit, son of Josef and Marie Becvarikova-Aksamit. Born in Pavlov #16, Pavlov District, Kladno region, Unhošť municipality, Central Bohemia (now the Czech Republic). Married Aloise "Louisa" Rauscher on 25 Oct 1861 in Lambach, Austria. Came to America in 1867 aboard the ship Liebnitz, with his wife and 6-7 children, which took 7 weeks at sea. Landed in Quebec then traveled to Detroit, MI. Sailed then across Lake Michigan to Manitowoc, WI. On 28 June 1870, he came to Nebraska via an invitation from his brother who was already there. His brother took him to Lancater were Anton purchased 80 acres. Anton was naturalized on 5 May 1875 in Saline County, Nebraska. Anton and Louisa has a total of 13 children.
