Patricia Arlene Steward of Lubbock, "Pat" to her many friends and family, was escorted to her Lord and Savior by an angel August 12, 2013. She was in her home surrounded by family, friends, and her loving husband and diligent care taker, Bill Steward. Their marriage of 58 years produced six children, Mark and wife Dorothy; Larry and wife Dorethy; Lloyd and wife Lisa; Ronnie; Rhonda and husband Greg Burkleo; Shelly and husband Larry Wilfong. She came from a large family as well, with five sisters, Janice and Bill Sisson; Brenda and Bob Gallagher; Karen (Suzy) and Walter Beasley; Sheryl and Melvin Haggard; Pam and Roy Johnston; and one brother Kenneth and Vicki Crithfield. Pat was born October 24th, 1936 to Jack and Lorene Critchfield in Stratford, Oklahoma and later moved to Lorenzo, Texas where she graduated high School. In 1955 she and Bill married and moved to Lubbock. She retired in 1985 after a very productive career with Frito-Lays, Devro, Inc. and finally Texas Instruments. She was a devout Christian woman, loved her family and friends, and the Bingo "circuit" where she and her husband Bill met and befriended many "down home "people. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 17, 2013 at the Indiana Baptist Church in Lubbock. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. A visitation will be held Friday August 16, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo. The Family would like to express special thanks to in home care aid Claudia Zeiss, and Crown Point Hospice nurses Vicki Carter and Sheila Pitts for there gentle care and invaluable coaching.
