Mary K. Wentzel, 94, of Rochester, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Life Care Center, Rochester.

On Aug. 17, 1919, Mary was born in Fulton County, the precious daughter of Peter and Amanda (Copeland) Wentzel. Growing up as one of seven children, she shared her childhood with four brothers and a sister.

With a passion for jewelry, Mary was a proud owner of a unique collection. Throughout her life, she enjoyed artwork, many times expressing herself with Crayola on paper. As a younger lady, she also enjoyed relaxing on the front porch swing and greeting friends and neighbors as they passed by. She dearly loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents; two sisters, Vivian Wentzel, in infancy, and Betty Weller; and two brothers, Lester Covert and Elwood Wentzel.

A celebration of the life of Miss Mary K. Wentzel will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Mary will be laid to eternal rest in the family plot at the Bruce Lake Cemetery.
