Dorothea Gibson-Piper, 76 lost her battle with lung cancer on April 4, 2012.
She was surrounded by her family and love was ever present.
Dorothea, was born on May 6, 1935 in Lake Victor, Texas to Wyatt and Nell Robertson.
Dorothea is survived by her beloved husband Sam Piper, Jr.; sons, Mike Preece and wife Barbara; Chris Preece; Jimmy Preece and wife Denise. Daughters, Kathy Dorsett; Kim Butler and husband, Brian.
And her sister, Kay Jordy and husband Larry. She is also survived by 4 step-daughters, Beverly, Linda, Cindy and Sammy. Additionally she is survived by 23 adoring grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Dorothea was preceeded in death by her parents, Wyatt & Nell Robertson; Husband Truman Morris Preece, Brother, Charles Robertson, husband, Don Gibson and son, Bobby Preece.
A memorial service will be held on at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberty Hill.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wrench Funeral Home & Cremations, Leander, Texas.
