SNYDER-Mrs. Esma Audrey Kingston, age 91, of Lubbock, Texas, formerly of Fluvanna, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Wedgewood South Assisted Living in Lubbock, Texas, after a lengthy illness. Services for Mrs. Kingston will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. in Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with Mr. Dale Huff of 37th Street Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Fluvanna Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kingston was born on Monday, July 3, 1922, in Fluvanna, Texas, to Horace and Lela (Hughes) Carmichael.

She married Harry Kingston on Friday, Nov. 10, 1939, in Snyder, Texas. He preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1998.

She was a graduate of Fluvanna High School. Esma worked as a postal clerk and later as postmaster in Fluvanna, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a long time member of the Fluvanna Church of Christ.

She is survived by: son, Bill Kingston and Wife Sammie of Lubbock, Texas; two grandsons, Rohn Kingston, and Jay Kingston and wife Martha, all of Jayton, Texas; a granddaughter, Dionne Moore and husband Barry of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; three great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two sisters, Rossa Maples and Ina Lou Smith Miller.

Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to: Children's Home of Lubbock, P. O. Box 2824 Lubbock, TX 79408; Medina Children's Home, 21300 State Hwy, 16 North Medina, TX 78055; or New Mexico Christian Children's Home, 1356 NM 236, Portales, NM 88130.
