Walter, Joyce Douglas, 45 years of age, died Thursday evening at a local hospital after an illness of eight days following an operation for appendicitis. He was born in Ogden on September 2, 1880, the son of Richard and Eliza Joyce Douglas, Utah pioneers. He had resided here all of his life, the family residence, at present being 364 Third street. Mr. Douglas was employed by the Utah Packing company.
He is survived by his widow, Myrtle Leavitt Douglass (sic), and six children, Clyde, Billie, Don, Keith, Ruth, and Grant Douglas. Brothers and sisters surviving are Thomas M. Douglas, Idaho Falls; William Douglas, John Douglas, Mrs. William A. Reeve, Mrs. D. G. Revor, all of Ogden, and a number of half-brothers and half-sisters. Funeral services will be held next Sunday at 1:30 o'clock in the Fifteenth or Lynn ward meeting house with Bishop L. W. Sherner presiding. The body may be viewed at the residence of William A. Reeve, 476 Twenty-second street on Saturday afternoon and evening and also on Sunday until time of services. Interment will be made in the City cemetery under the direction of Lindquist's.
