NOYES B. RANDALL BURIED THURSDAY-Noyes B. Randall died at his home in Lindina, early Sunday morning, May 24 1936 aged 81 years and 7 months and 4 days. Noyes was one of the last of the pioneer residents of Stewarts Valley. He was born in Lindina on October 20, 1857, on the same farm where he passed away, and where he spent most of the years of his life. He was one of seven children of the late Benjamin and Mary Randall, pioneer settlers of this county. Francis, Sarah, Emanuel, John, Martha and Adelbert proceded him in death. George H. Randall, the only surviving brother lives in Beverly Hills, California. On October 20 1880, Noyes was united in marriage to Jennie Babcock. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive. Merle and Dick of Winlock, Washington., Genevieve (Mrs. Ed Dary) of Mauston, Louie at home, and Vera (Mrs. Bert Moore) of Waukesha. there are also ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in June 1927. Noyes was a kind husband and father, he was liked and respected by friends and his advice on matters of importance was often sought, as his keen business judgement was recognized by all. He will be sadly missed in the home circle and by an unusually large number of sincere friends. Noyes was one of the most prominent citizens of the county. He took a keen interest in politics and affairs of this country, and always enjoyed discussion on matters of public interest. He was well informed on topics of local and national affairs and was a welcome visitor to his friends and neighbors, and all who knew Noyes looked forward with pleasure to meeting and talking with him. After the death of his wife Mr. Randall traveled extensively making a number of trips thruout the west and spent considerable time at the homes of his sons Merle and Dick in Wahington. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 o'clock at Stewarts Chapel, Rev. Alfred B. Nimz officiating. Burial was in the beautiful Evergreen Cemetery beside his wife.
