OBITUARY: The death occurred on Sunday, Jan 7, of Chester Tapley, at his home on the Townline, just north of Bishopsgate in his 76th yr. He had been in ill health for some time suffering from heart trouble, but was not confined to his bed all the time. He had resided on his farm for many years, and had many friends. He is survivied by his sorrowing wife, one son and 5 daughters. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon to the Congregational Cemetery, Burford and was conducted by Rev. Carter, Mt. Pleasant [Brantford Expositor dtd Jan 14, 1928, pg 12, col 3].
