Became a policeman for the Munich Police Department in 1922.

Joined the Nazi party in 1933, he left the Munich Police Department in 1934 and joined the Gestapo.

When the Nazis took over Austria in 1938, he help deport 50,000 Jews from Vienna to the concentration camps.

During his time in the Gestapo he was part of investigation that resulted in the capture of Johann Georg Elser, the man who nearly assassinated Hitler in 1939.

Arrested in 1945 following the collapse of Nazi Germany, but was acquitted in 1949.

After the war, Huber went on to work as a bookkeeper in a Munich office equipment company until his retirement.
