Irma Mae Schleer, 66, Jefferson City, died March 29, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born April 18, 1933, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Jacob B. and Magdalen Markway Kolb. She was married April 30, 1955, in Jefferson City, to Paul David Schleer, who survives at the home. A homemaker, she also worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and was a processing clerk with Public Employees Benefit Service Corp. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Immaculata Club, Daughters of Isabella and Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
Other survivors include: two sons, Paul D. Schleer Jr., Warrensburg, and Mark J. Schleer, Jefferson City; four daughters, Jean Poe, Surprise, Ariz., Mary Davis, Columbia, and Catherine Long and Victoria McElwaine, both of Jefferson City; six brothers, Herbert Kolb, Hot Springs Village, Ark., and James F. Kolb, Cletus Kolb, Charles J. Kolb, Paul H. Kolb and Robert Kolb, all of Jefferson City; one sister, Grace Mary Vignola, Jefferson City; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Timothy Tatro and Msgr. Charles H. Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Helias Foundation or St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.
