ZWISCHENBERGER-GOODMAN, Karen Ann

Went into the arms of Jesus Christ unexpectedly on May 6, 2009. Our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend was born on April 12, 1957 in Spokane, WA to John and Mary Zwischenberger. Karen graduated from Rogers H. S. in 1974, then married the love of her life, Dennis K.Goodman. They were married for 34 years.

Karen is survived by her husband Dennis of Spokane; her children Kami Sale of Spokane Valley,Stephanie Reeve of Spokane and Kimberly Goodman of Moses Lake, WA; her siblings Barbara Noe of Spokane, Linda Hill of Columbus, OH, Janet Blessing of Spokane and Doug Zwischenberger of Spokane; seven grandchildren Alex Asplund, Dylan Smith, Kaileigh Reeve, Emily Anderson, Hunter Jarvis, Sophia Divine and Lillee Jarvis; and several nieces and nephews.

Karen enjoyed gardening, shopping, arts and crafts, reading and spending priceless moments with her grandchildren. She was a very loving and compassionate person.

Karen was very strong through all her medical battles and knew God would always guide her along the way. Her love and gentle touches will be greatly missed. Our hearts will be empty without Karen until we reunite with her in the kingdom of heaven.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009 from 12 AM to 7 PM at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 10 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 4620 N. Regal, Spokane. A graveside service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to a breast cancer organization of your choice.
