Harry Everett Ferguson, 70, owner and operator of Ferguson's Grocery Store on Jefferson street here for many years, died Sunday evening at St. Mary's Hospital. He lived at 204 Swifts Highway. He was born Feb. 20, 1890, at Linn, the son of James and Augustine Maire Ferguson. He married the former Miss Cecilia Boehm June 18,1913 at Linn. She died April 6, 1955.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harold B. Rung of Jefferson City, one brother, Delbert Ferguson of Linn, one sister, Miss Sophia Ferguson of Linn and one grandson.

Mr. Ferguson was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral and the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus, the Independent Merchants Association and the Southside Businessmen's League. He was a former City Councilman from the Fourth Ward.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Peter's Cathedral, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph A. Vogelweid officiating. The Rosary will be recited 8 p.m. Tuesday at a local funeral home. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
