Robert J. Cravens, 84, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on Aug. 23rd, 2013. Funeral service will be held on Mon Aug. 26th at 11am at Langsford Funeral Home. Visitation one hour prior. Burial at Blue Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Robert was born on Nov. 6th 1928 in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from K-State University in 1950 and was a member of PHI KAPPA ALPHA. He married Margaret Madison on July 1st, 1950. He was employed by Ford Motor Co. for 35 years. He retired in 1983 and moved from Michigan to Blue Springs. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Blue Springs for 30 years and taught Sunday school there for 7 years. He founded the Jubilee Brass Quartet and played the trumpet with them for 17 years. He was an avid golfer. He accepted Christ as a child. He loved his family.
Survivors include his wife Margaret, daughter Shelly Koron (George), son Cameron (Dixie), sister Beth Lord (Herb), 3 grandchildren, Samantha Morris (Brett), Rob Koron, James Cravens, and a sister-in-law Judy Madison.
