He resided in Rockingham County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on December 26, 1942 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the manufacture of textiles and also as Married.

Hector was "Killed In Action" in Italy during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
